An accumulator tank (thermal store ) enables the highest level of efficiency of wood or pellet boiler and flexibility in water-based heating systems for many commercial and domestic water installations.

CWD accumulator tanks  are highly insulated thermal storage vessels ranging in standard sizes from 500 to 2,000 litres capacity. 

Basic function of accumulator tank is to collect and store heat energy from wood or biomass water boiler and allow the flexible use of this heat energy, either directly for space heating or via an internal heat exchanger for domestic hot water.

The accumulator tank is especially suitable as a thermal store in log wood boiler or water stove systems or straw fired boilers. . Wood fired boilers - both: log wood or gasyfing units, need to be fired at high temperature in order to achieve maximum efficiency and low emmision.The accumulator tank is therefore used to store the heat from wood log or gasyfing boiler - it prolongs heating time and life of the boiler even up to 70 %

Most of accumulator tanks are combined with thermal valves like Laddomat.
